Little Frank and the boys were in fine form last night at the venerable Midway Tavern. 'Just Because' is an excellent addition to the repertoire. I always love 'she drank my gin, and smoked all my cigarettes.' Lots of special guests; it is always good to see Junior Combs too. He has always fit like another old shoe with the Premieres.
Bob Carter, the amazing drum machine, sang a couple very strong numbers. I especially like 'Act Naturally,' the old Johnny Russell tune.
I left about midnight; trying to save some energy for the three day New Year's Weekend.
